Poggio di Guardia

Poggio di Guardia rises on the top of the Chianti mountains, at the highest point on the border between Chianti Senese and the Valdarno.

It’s name recalls the ancient function of sighting and protection of the territory, which we find today transformed in the mission that its owners, the Oenologists Federico Cercelli and Stefano di Blasi have given : rediscover a land that has rested for forty years and bring it back into production respecting and protecting its natural fertility and the unique features that only that soil could give.

This principle of great respect and protection for the territory means tht they have been able to create an exclusive Winery with a limited production. Poggio di Guardia wines exalt their territory according to the principle that a great wine cames from its vineyard and terroir.
