Located in the southern area of Montalcino, the production uses vines at various elevations that are exposed to the sun until sunset and that are particularly suited to making aged wines.
La Togata Brunello di Montalcino, which in a few years has captured the top rankings of major guides and magazines all over the world, comes from vines that are at least 20 years old.
Work in the vineyards and wine cellar is managed with extreme care and attention by the famous oenologist Vagaggini, while marketing is handled by the lawyer’s wife, Jeanneth.
The only vine planted on the farm is Sangiovese used to produce the famous Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino, but is also used to make a fresh, joyous wine, Barengo: a name that historically means happiness. With its gold label, it is “the friend’s wine”.
