Cantina Riccio
Cantina Riccio is located in Chiusano San Domenico, Campania, one of the renowned village of the Irpinia area. This place, rich in streams, steep slopes and favorable winds, is particularly suitable for the cultivation of vines and gives to the wines excellent quality.
Giuseppe De Marco (the owner) driven by the passion and desire to get involved with dedication and optimism, decided to resume in a modern way the activity of his grandfather “Peppino”, giving birth to Cantina Riccio. Place of the heart where memories, love for the native land and traditions combine perfectly with the most modern cultivation techniques, giving rise to great and promising wines.
Vineyards cover 20 hectares at 700 meters above sea level, with excellent exposure and good ventilation. Finest Vines of this area are the Taurasi and Fiano which find their excellence’s form in the wines: Taurasi Appia Antica, and in Fiano di Avellino I Vini di Janus.
Cantina Riccio also produce: Greco di Tufo, Falanghina, Irpinia Aglianico, and Riccio a really interesting Spumante extra dry produced with “charmat” method.
